Medical/Prescription Insurance
Coverage is provided to eligible employees and begins the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. Our two (2) PPO plans are available with varying co-payments and usage of in-network/out-of-network physicians. Also, the plans provide coverage for eligible family member(s). Currently, contributory amounts do apply and may be made on a pre-tax basis.
Dental Insurance
Coverage is provided to eligible employees and begins on the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. PPO option offers comprehensive benefits covering eligible family member(s). The plan is non-contributory and enrollment is mandatory.
Life Insurance
Life Insurance coverage is provided at no cost to eligible employee. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. The policy is equal to two times your annual base salary, but does have a maximum depending on position class.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage is provided at no cost to the eligible employees. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. The policy is equal to two times your annual salary, but does have a maximum depending on position class.
Short-Term Disability
Short-term Disability coverage is provided at no cost to eligible employees. Coverage is provided to eligible employees and begins on the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. The policy covers up to 26 weeks at 60% of weekly earnings with a maximum of ,000.00, when medically necessary. Elimination periods may apply.
Long-Term Disability
Long-term Disability coverage is provided at no cost to eligible employees. Coverage is provided to eligible employees and begins on the first day of the month following ninety (90) days of employment. The policy covers an employee at 60% of monthly salary earnings with a maximum of ,000.00, when medically necessary, for a period determined by employee age at time of disability.
Pension
Upon the date of hire, the employee will be enrolled in the State of Connecticut’s Municipal Employee Retirement Fund (MERF). Currently, an employee’s weekly contribution to MERF is equal to 2.5% of their weekly gross pay while COC’s contribution is 9.5%. A vesting schedule does apply.
457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan
The Deferred Compensation Plan is with The Hartford to which COC makes no contributions.
Holiday Pay
COC offers employees thirteen (13) paid holidays per calendar year.
Personal Time
COC offers employees three (3) paid personal days per calendar year
Sick Time
COC offers nine (9) sick days per year.

The Stamford Credit Union offers COC employees and their families a full line of financial services.
