Capital Projects
The Modernization Department administers the Capital Fund Program, an annual federal grant from HUD that provides for large capital improvement projects. Over the past several years these projects have included:
- Elevator replacement at Quintard Manor
- Elevator replacement, new emergency generator, new security booth and cameras, and new cooling tower at Clinton Manor
- Elevator replacement at Stamford Manor
- New roof at Stamford Manor
- Security and Site improvements at Stamford Manor
- Concrete and Masonry repairs at Stamford Manor
- Additionally, new work being scheduled includes:
- Erosion control at Lawn Ave. Townhouses
- Roof replacement at Quintard Manor
- 2nd Elevator replacement at Stamford Manor
The Modernization Department also works with other State and Local Agencies that provide funds for improvements to other developments. It oversees capital improvement work at Rippowam Manor and Glenbrook Manor. Recent work at these properties includes:
- Ceiling & Insulation installation at Rippowam Manor
- New Emergency generator at Glenbrook Manor
- Trash Compactor replacement at Rippowam and Glenbrook Manors
- Elevator Replacement at Rippowam Manor
- Additionally, new work being scheduled includes:
- Elevator Replacement at Glenbrook Manor
- Fire Panel Replacement at Glenbrook Manor
- EIFS Repair to Rippowam and Glenbrook Manors
- Entry Door Replacement at Czescik Homes
